OnVista Relaunches Web Site - Leading independent financial portal benefits from market data and technology by IS.Teledata

COLOGNE (IST) - OnVista, Germany's market leading banking-independent portal has revamped its web site www.onvista.de which was first introduced in 1998. Several functions have been improved, new features have been added. By combining matching contents and cross-linking data by topic, users now find more information in better arrangement. In keeping with the motto "OnVista stays better", the general OnVista structure remained unchanged. The relaunch implements a user survey in 2003 and takes into account the detailed analysis of visitor behaviour. "Our aim is to serve our users better and thus to expand our market-leading position," explains Michael W. Schwetje, board member media and finances of OnVista AG.

OnVista Portfolio saw the most comprehensive changes. The new section 'My Market' allows users customise the settings for their personal watch list. Chart settings can be stored, news feeds can be configured for selected news. The search function was also improved: The new quick search retrieves the most popular quotes of an asset class which can easily be selected from a drop-down menu. A third innovation is the search for selected historical quotes for up to 10 years.

The web site is now much clearer. The home page, for example, indicates the complete range of OnVista functions at a glance. The most relevant data per section are displayed in an overview. The same principle guides the layout within sections. The detail views include overviews and provide easy access to comprehensive financial data. Charts for several time periods are combined into one page. Likewise, all news - like ad hoc messages, market reports, company news, etc. - are combined under the 'News' heading.

Users can participate in the ongoing improvement of OnVista's financial portal Using a new evaluation tool, visitors can grade the site and optionally voice their opinion.

Contents and design of the relaunch have been conceptualised and implemented by OnVista. IS.Teledata, Europe's leading provider of Internet-based financial information systems, is responsible for streaming market data to and continuous operations of the server systems. The servers used for the OnVista site are hosted in IS.Teledata's Cologne facilities.
